"Musou mode" introduced a tree system where the selection of playable stages expanded according to the player's actions. The total number of scenarios, including stages with hidden elements, increased significantly with more than double the scenarios of the previous game, and the number of sub-officers also increased to 300. In addition, battle royal matches with up to four players were possible using the PSP's online gaming feature.
