The first emperor is revived from the underworld. The heroes of the Three Kingdoms gather again in order to counter this new threat. In addition to Awakenings, a new 'weapon overdrive' enables weapons to be strengthened. Players can experience more exhilarating and faster action compared to the previous game. Multiplayer uses the PSP's infrastructure mode, allowing players across Japan to battle each other.
