In addition to the simple button controls that are a feature of the WARRIORS series, "DYNASTY WARRIORS NEXT" added a new kind of "1 vs. 1,000" action that used the intuitive controls of the PS Vita's unique touch screen, rear touch pad, and motion sensor functions. The game also included Coalition Mode for co-op play with up to four players using Ad-Hoc communication, and Gala Mode consisting of mini-games that made use of the camera and motion sensors.
