Combat
Taking photos of ghosts will deal damage to them and earn you photo points. The more targets you can capture in a single frame, the more photo points you will earn.
Photo points can be used to purchase items from the Save Point Screen at a lantern.
Lock On
Holding down the Lock On button while you have a ghost inside the capture focus point will let you pin the target to the center of the screen.

Shutter Chance
The charge meter will continue to rise while you have a ghost within the capture focus point. Once the meter is fully charged, the viewfinder will glow red. Taking a photo when it glows will deal critical damage.
Fatal Frame
Fatal Frame Indicator
The Fatal Frame Indicator will sometimes flash in response to a ghost's movements. Taking a photo while it flashes will stagger the ghost and cause critical damage.
You can also chain attacks into combos to gain extra photo points.
The Fatal Frame Indicator will be visible when you have the Alarm upgrade equipped.
Shaking Off Ghost
Your health will decrease if you are grabbed by a ghost. Move left and right using the analog stick or movement keys to shake them off.
Spirit Stone Flashlight
Some characters will have access to the Spirit Stone Flashlight instead of the Camera Obscura.
The Spirit Stone Flashlight utilizes moonlight trapped inside spirit stones to attack ghosts. Move a target within its blast radius to deal damage to them.
Expanding the Blast Radius
Hold the button to expand the blast radius of the Spirit Stone Flashlight. Anything within the blue circle will be targeted.

Shining the Flashlight
Lunar Power Gauge
Release the button to consume lunar power and activate the Spirit Stone Flashlight. The larger the blast radius and closer the enemy, the more damage you will deal.
Lunar power will replenish over time.
