Hertfordshire, 9th June 2026 – Today, KOEI TECMO Europe and developer Team NINJA announced that their dark Three Kingdoms action RPG Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty Complete Edition will be released for Nintendo Switch™ 2 on 3rd September 2026. The base game and all three major DLC will be included.
First released in 2023, the critically acclaimed Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty has surpassed over 5 million players to date and sold over 1 million copies worldwide. The game follows the dramatic, action-packed story of a nameless militia soldier fighting for survival in a dark fantasy version of the Later Han Dynasty where demons plague the Three Kingdoms. Players fight off deadly creatures and enemy soldiers using swordplay based on the Chinese martial arts, attempting to overcome the odds by awakening the true power from within.
Released in 2024, its expansive Complete Edition includes the base game alongside the three major DLC – Battle of Zhongyuan, Conqueror of Jiangdong, and Upheaval in Jingxiang – as well as new endgame content, The Thousand-Mile Journey. Players can enjoy these additional scenarios with characters from the armies of Cao Cao, Sun Ce, and Liu Bei, as well as extra weapon types (cestuses, long swords, and whips). The action-packed gameplay is further enhanced by new difficulties, new stages, new Divine Beasts and more challenging difficulty levels, as well as expanded functions. Fans will also have access to a range of collaborative DLC, adding equipment and stages from Nioh 2, NARAKA: BLADEPOINT, and Lies of P.
Furthermore, three in-game items that were included with the initial release of Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty – Baihu Armour, Zhuque Armour, and Qinglong Armour – will be included in the Nintendo Switch™ 2 version of the Complete Edition, alongside The Records of the Grand Historian, an in-game item that shows the location of Marking Flags on the mini-map.
In celebration of the upcoming release of Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty Complete Edition for Nintendo Switch™ 2, an exclusive set of equipment, Xuanwu Armour, will be available to all Nintendo Switch™ 2 owners of the game*.
Earlier in the week, fans were treated with the announcement of Wo Long 2: Wings of Ember, scheduled for release in early 2027. This sequel to Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty will further refine and enhance the fast-paced, tactical combat of the first game with the inclusion of defensive Chinese martial arts, such as the ability to deflect incoming attacks. The Morale feature also makes a return, giving players the opportunity to conquer the battlefield.
To help celebrate the announcement of Wo Long 2: Wings of Ember, the previous title, Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty, is once again available on XBOX Game Pass for fans to start their journey.
Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty Complete Edition is scheduled to release 3rd September 2026 on Nintendo Switch™ 2.
Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty Complete Edition is already available on PlayStation®5, PlayStation®4, XBOX Series X|S, XBOX One, XBOX on PC, and Steam®. The game features Japanese and English voices with texts in English, French, German, Italian and Spanish.
Wo Long 2: Wings of Ember is currently in development and is scheduled to release early 2027 on XBOX Series X|S, PlayStation®5, Nintendo Switch™2, XBOX PC and Steam®, and will be available from day one with XBOX Game Pass. The game will include Japanese and English voices with texts in English, French, Italian, German and Spanish.
