New Scenarios

The game includes six new scenarios, including “The Birth of Nobunaga”.

New Scenario 1
“The Birth of Nobunaga”

This scenario begins in June 1534 and the birth of Nobunaga Oda. Setting the stage for the onset of the Sengoku period, various warlords are vying for power across the country, including Nobunaga's father, Nobuhide Oda; the cunning strategist Tsunehisa Amago; Ujitsuna Hōjō, who succeeded Sōun Hōjō; and Nobutora Takeda, the father of Shingen.

New Scenario 2
“Fateful Clash”

The scenario begins immediately after the Honnō-ji Incident in June 1582, when Mitsuhide Akechi betrayed and attacked Nobunaga. As efforts are made to establish peace with Mōri, Hideyoshi Hashiba prepares to confront Mitsuhide, while Katsuie Shibata advances to challenge the Uesugi clan. The once-stable order of unification was once again on the brink of chaos.

New Scenario 3
“Kyūshū Conquest”

In November 1586, Kanpaku Hideyoshi Toyotomi, was on the verge of launching the Kyushu Campaign. Having brought over half of the western provinces under his control, Hideyoshi faced an imminent threat from Yoshihisa Shimazu, who was poised to conquer Kyushu. Meanwhile, in Kanto, Ujimasa Hojo was steadily expanding his influence, and in Tohoku, Masamune Date was also strengthening his power.

New Scenario 4
“Absence of Great Conflict”

This is a hypothetical scenario set from January 1547, imagining a world where the Ōnin War never occurred and history continued smoothly. In this context, the Yamana family, which has maintained its ancestral lands, and the Hosokawa family, reigning as the Kanrei, stand as venerable noble clans since the founding of the Muromachi shogunate. The question is whether the ambitious warlords such as Oda, Mōri, and Hojo, who seek to challenge and overthrow these established powers.

New Scenario 5
“Tenbun Upheaval”

In January 1551, a hypothetical scenario unfolds where Dōsan Saitō, who was deeply enamored with his son-in-law Nobunaga Oda, declares his intention to transfer the Saitō family name and legacy to Nobunaga. This decision provokes opposition from Dōsan's legitimate heir, Yoshiyoshi, who allies with Nobunaga’s brother, Nobukatsu. The conflict sparks disputes among various clans across the country, eventually escalating into a nationwide chaos where internal conflicts turn brutal.

New Scenario 6
“Widespread Might”

This is a hypothetical scenario set in July 1598, after the Odawara Campaign, where Nobuo Oda, refusing to relinquish his former Tokugawa territories, has been granted them and remains a powerful daimyo. Amidst the instability of the Toyotomi regime following Hideyoshi’s death, Nobuo aims to restore the Oda family’s former glory.

Additional Gameplay Elements

“Decisive Battles”
between large clans

By meeting certain conditions, large clans will fight in a massive “Decisive Battle”!
If you can win two “opening assaults,” you will have an advantage in the “Decisive Battle”.
Achieving victory allows you to occupy all domains of the opposing clan, making it a true turning point to conquer Japan.

  • During the initial edit data check, if there is save data from the PlayStation®4 version, it will be automatically loaded and transferred.
    • Please note that PlayStation®4 version data stored on the PlayStation®5 console will be checked.

    • If the data cannot be found during the initial edit data check, it will not be possible to transfer the data so please ensure that the PlayStation®4 version data is on the PlayStation®5 console in advance.

  • This can be selected and loaded from the main menu.
