About Synthesis

What Is Synthesis?

Synthesis is the process of combining certain items (materials) to create new items. Synthesis is carried out in the alchemy cauldron in the Wagon Atelier.
Items created through the synthesis process may be used in many activities, from exploration and gathering to battles. To create any item using synthesis, you must first have the pertinent recipe. Recipes can be obtained through deciphering the magic text or by purchasing books from shops.

Item Categories

Items can be divided into a number of different categories. Items currently in your inventory can be found by checking the container.

Usable	Items that can be used in battles or during exploration.
Materials	Items that can only be obtained by gathering. These are used as materials for synthesis.
Synthesis	Items that are made using synthesis, in order to become materials for further synthesis.
Equipment	Items which can be equipped on characters.
Important	Items that cannot be used in synthesis, such as recipes or event items.
