Health Gauge

A blue bar indicates your remaining health. As you take damage, the bar will be shortened, and when it is completely depleted the game is over. Even if you have received damage, if there are no enemies in the vicinity, your health will be recovered automatically. However, when you take damage, a certain amount of your health gauge will become red, indicating "Lasting" damage. Such damage will not be restored automatically, so as you receive more Lasting damage, the amount of health that will be automatically restored is decreased. Your health gauge can be restored by using items, obtaining Blue Essence, or by pressing the button below in front of "Statues of the Earth Dragon". Doing so will also recover Lasting damage.

Ki Gauge

This shows the character's remaining spiritual power, Ki. You use Ki when you perform Ninpo. Increase Ki by using certain items or collecting Red Essence.

Combo Counter

This shows the number of consecutive attacks you have landed. The higher your combo, the more Karma Points you get.

Quick Menu

This menu allows you to change four categories without opening the Pause Menu: Ninpo, Projectile Weapons, Melee Weapons, and Items.
